File a civil claim in Magistrate Court

Magistrate Court hears civil claims of $15,000 or less, dispossessory and distress warrants, bad check cases, county ordinance violations, and preliminary hearings. Civil cases can be e-filed.

E-file a civil caseLeaves the county website.

How it works

  1. Get the standard forms from the Georgia Magistrate Council.
  2. File online or with the Clerk of Court, who serves as clerk of the Magistrate Court.
  3. No jury trials are held in Magistrate Court; a written request for a jury trial moves the case to State or Superior Court.
