File a civil claim in Magistrate Court
Magistrate Court hears civil claims of $15,000 or less, dispossessory and distress warrants, bad check cases, county ordinance violations, and preliminary hearings. Civil cases can be e-filed.

How it works
- Get the standard forms from the Georgia Magistrate Council.
- File online or with the Clerk of Court, who serves as clerk of the Magistrate Court.
- No jury trials are held in Magistrate Court; a written request for a jury trial moves the case to State or Superior Court.
