Get a birth or death certificate
The Probate Judge is the county’s vital records registrar and can issue certified copies of Georgia birth, death, and marriage records to people authorized to receive them.
- Cost:
- Birth or death certificate: $25.00 for the first certified copy and $5.00 for each additional copy. Marriage record: $10.00 for the first certified copy and $5.00 for each additional copy.
How it works
- Call the Pembroke or Richmond Hill office to schedule an appointment (strongly recommended).
- Bring identification showing you are authorized to receive the record.
- Records are available only for births and deaths that occurred in Georgia; other states’ records come from that state.
