License your dog or cat
Dogs and cats four months and older must have a pet license and a current rabies vaccination. Get the license from a participating vet or at a County customer service office for $5.00 to $15.00.

- $5.00 to $15.00 per animal, depending on whether the rabies vaccination is for one or three years.
How it works
- Have your pet vaccinated for rabies; participating veterinarians can issue the license at the same time.
- Or bring the rabies certificate to the customer service office at 66 Captain Matthew Freeman Drive, Suite 111, Richmond Hill, or 51 North Courthouse Street, Pembroke. No application is needed.
- Keep the rabies tag on your pet’s collar — it is the proof of license — and renew when the vaccination expires.

- The rabies vaccination certificate.
- Exact cash or a check.
