Renew your business license
Business licenses expire December 31. Renew online from mid-October; renewals completed after February 1 pay a 1.5% penalty per month, and after July 31 a new application is required.
Renew on the licensing portalLeaves the county website.
- Cost:
- $75 non-refundable application fee plus the annual occupation tax (0–3 employees $115 up to 50 or more employees $795). Late renewals after February 1 add 1.5% per month.
- How long it takes:
- Renewals open mid-October; complete by February 1 to avoid penalties; not eligible after July 31.
How it works
- Gather the Private Employer Affidavit (if 11 or more employees), your employee count for unincorporated Bryan County, and confirmation that business personal property taxes are current.
- Sign in to the licensing portal with the email on file (contact the department if it is not found).
- Submit the renewal; you will be emailed an invoice for the occupation tax and the $75 application fee. Do not send payment before the invoice.
- Pay online, then download and print the license from the email and display it at the business.
What you need
- Private Employer Affidavit for 11 or more employees.
- Delinquent personal property taxes (2024 or earlier) paid in full.
