Vote by mail (absentee ballot)
Any registered voter can vote by mail without giving a reason. Apply online or on paper up to 78 days before the election; the completed ballot must reach the Elections office by 7:00 p.m. on election night.

- Applications accepted up to 78 days before the election; ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on election night.
How it works
- Apply online or with the paper application up to 78 days before the election. Voters 65 and older or with a disability can ask to receive ballots for the whole election cycle.
- Ballots are mailed 25–29 days before election day.
- Return the ballot by mail or at a drop box: the Richmond Hill Recreation Complex, 508 Timber Trail, during early voting hours, or the Elections office during office hours.
- Military and overseas voters (UOCAVA) apply through the state portal or FVAP.gov; their ballots must be postmarked by election day and received by the Friday after.
