Board of Commissioners

County Commissioners make up the County’s governing authority which directs and controls county property, levy taxes, adopt county budgets, develop and maintain county roads and bridges, and handle many other functions related to the health, safety and welfare of the community. County Commissioners are elected to serve a four-year term, and the County Commission Chairman is voted upon and elected by citizens countywide.

When the board meets

Second Tuesday of each month, 5:30 p.m. Odd months in Pembroke (Commissioners Meeting Room, 26 N. Courthouse Street); even months in Richmond Hill (Administrative Complex, 66 Captain Matthew Freeman Drive).
