Pick the kind of problem. Each one says which department fixes it, how to report it, and who to call after hours. A life-threatening emergency is always 911.

Road, pothole, or drainage problem

Potholes, dirt-road grading, blocked ditches and culverts, flooding, canal problems, road signs.

State routes (US 17, US 280, GA 144, GA 67, GA 119, I-95) belong to the Georgia Department of Transportation; city streets in Pembroke and Richmond Hill belong to the cities.

Code violation

Junk vehicles, overgrown lots, illegal dumping, work without a permit, unsafe structures, signs.

Animal problem

Stray, aggressive, or injured animals, animal bites, barking or neglect complaints, lost and found pets.

Water outage, leak, or sewer backup

No water, low pressure, a leak at the meter or in the road, a sewer backup, a boil water advisory question.

Missed trash or recycling pickup

A missed pickup, a damaged cart, starting or stopping service, bulk items and yard waste.

Curbside collection in the unincorporated county is run by Atlantic Waste Services (912-964-2000); the County’s Solid Waste Division handles the convenience centers and the contract.
